LONDON (AFX) - Investment bank Credit Suisse is working on plans to move up to 5,000 back-office, technology and administrative jobs to Singapore, India and eastern Europe, the Daily Telegraph newspaper reported without citing sources.
The same newspaper reported last week the group, which is headquartered at Canary Wharf in London, is moving up to 1,000 British and American IT posts to India.
The bank, which has 63,000 employees worldwide, is seriously assessing the moves as part of global cost-cutting plans, the article said.
