Regional Human Resources Director

The Regional HR Director works with the CEO and other members of the management team to build and manage a high performing organization. This role is part of the Global HR Structure and will help develop and execute Global HR Frameworks working with the Global HR Director. The Human Resources organization is responsible for organizational development, policies and programs covering employment, compensation, benefits, performance management, employee relations, recruiting and retention, and compliance with all applicable legislative requirements. The Regional HR Director reports to the CEO and is a member of The Regional Board. There is a functional reporting line to the Global HR Director.
Strategy
o Work with CEO and The Board to create a high performance organization that reflects this culture in all its recruitment, development, and learning and retention programs.
o Develop and action a three to five year “people strategy” within the Global HR Strategic Framework
o Work with the Board on all company polices and objectives in support of the business strategy
o Responsible along with the rest of The Board for the effective leadership of the organization
Recruiting, Retaining and Training
o Leads the talent initiative focused on recruiting, retaining, developing and training staff with specific emphasis on building future leaders for the organization.
o Lead internal resources to develop strategy for recruiting top caliber employees
o Define recruiting sources and manages external recruitment relationships
o Lead initiative to ensure the Region is always “competitive” versus other employees by continually assessing the competitiveness of all programs and practices against relevant comparable companies, industries and markets
o Build retention programs specific to individual high performers.
o Identify current/future openings, identify “at risk” staff, and identify training programs to develop key talent.
o Work with the Global HR Director to maximize advantage of being part of large company
o Develop graduate training program and close relationship with key graduate schools, as appropriate within the Regional resourcing strategy.


Employee Experience
o Act as senior level advisor on human resources issues to other executives and all level of employees throughout the company
o Manage and action the Annual Employee Survey
o Maintain current knowledge and understanding of regulations, industry trends, current practices, new developments, and applicable laws regarding human resources
o Ensure all policies and procedures are well understood and adhered to by all employees.
Compensation
o Maintain a knowledge and understanding of competitive compensation in the market research industry
o Lead the semi-annual salary planning process within budget guidelines
o Approve all compensation input. Provides functional direction for compensation related policies and strategies.
o Provide management training on compensation to other managers
Employee Benefits
o Supervise the provision of a high quality benefit administration function to company employees at local level
o Manage the transition of international employment in and out of the Region.

Prerequisites
The Regional Human Resources Director must have:
o 6 or more years of broad-based HR experience, six of which must be at the management level
o Deep talent management experience (recruiting, developing, training and retaining staff, creating and maintaining a high performing culture)
o Some level of experience in all HR functional areas including Staffing, Training, Compensation, Benefits, Employee Relations, etc.
o Superior oral and written communication skills
o Strategic vision and insight about human resource needs within a company.
o Demonstrated capability to interface and maintain effective relationships with all departments and employees in a team-oriented environment
o A Master's degree in business, HR, or industrial relations with post graduate degree preferred
o Strong networks in appropriate professional HR industry bodies
o Understanding of a global organization preferred
